The information we collect
- When you contact us: your name, email address, phone number, the location and details of your land, and anything you choose to tell us.
- If we wrote to you: your name and the address of your land, which we obtain from publicly available records such as HM Land Registry.
- If we work together: the information needed to assess your land, agree an option agreement and complete the sale.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a visit.
- To assess your land and prepare an offer.
- To prepare, manage and complete an option agreement and sale.
- To write to landowners whose land we believe has potential.
We rely on our legitimate interests in running our business, and on taking steps to enter into a contract with you. Where the law requires it, we rely on a legal obligation.
Who we share it with
Only where needed: our funding partner, Land Profits; the planners, architects, solicitors and surveyors who work on your land; prospective buyers, when progressing the sale of your land; and the service providers who run our website, email and post. Some of these providers may store data outside the UK, in which case appropriate safeguards are in place. We never sell your information.
How long we keep it
As long as needed to deal with your enquiry or our agreement with you. If we don't go ahead together, we delete your details within 24 months of our last contact, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to its use, or receive a copy of it. You can ask us to stop writing to you at any time, and we will.
